Situated near Kansai, Shikoku is easily accessible via land, sea, air transportation modes from the Kansai Area, offering diverse views while passing by the Seto Inland Sea. While public transportation on the island can be challenging for foreigners, it is recommended to self-driving to fully immerse yourself in Shikoku's natural splendor.

Tokushima Prefecture

Naruto Uchinoumi Refreshing Cruise

 

Experience the rush of speed and close-to-water perspectives aboard the Naruto Uchinokai Refreshing Cruise, aboarding a secure rib boat, it offers an exhilarating ride through the dynamic Naruto Strait and the calm Uchinokai Sea, promising an unforgettable journey.

 

To access, take a highway bus from Osaka Station JR Bus Terminal, bound for Otsuka Kokusai Bijutsukan bus stop, where you can then walk just 5 minutes to reach the dock.

 

Challenge yourself to witness the breathtaking Naruto Whirlpool nearby on a sightseeing boat in Tokushima, where nature performs its awe-inspiring spectacle. Marvel at the collision of currents from the Seto Inland Sea and the Pacific Ocean, creating a mesmerizing whirlpool up to 20 meters in diameter. From Osaka Prefecture, take a highway bus to Konaruto Bridge and transfer to a local bus to Naruto sightseeing port.

Ehime Prefecture

 
Fulfill your dreams of island-hopping by cycling along the picturesque Shimanami Kaido Expressway. Spanning 70 kilometers from Hiroshima to Ehime Prefecture, this route offers stunning vistas of the Seto Inland Sea, sand beaches, historical landmarks, and local specialties. Whether you're a seasoned cyclist or seeking a leisurely journey, the Shimanami Kaido guarantees an unforgettable experience with designated cycling lanes and rental facilities.
 

To begin your journey from Hiroshima, board a Shinkansen from Shin-Osaka Station to Fukuyama Station. From there, transfer to a local train bound for Onomichi Station. Once you arrive, the bike rental terminal is conveniently located just a 5-minute walk from the station, near the starting point of the cycling course.

Kochi Prefecture

Exploring Marine Life in Kochi

 

Dive into the Clear Waters along the Pacific coast of Kochi and explore the diverse marine ecosystem teeming with 1/3 marine species residing in Japanese seas, including endemic Japanese species like Japanese Angelfish, Alveopora Japonica.

Kashiwa Island welcomes international divers with interpretation support from NPO Japan Diving Experience. You can take an express bus from the Kansai area to Sukumo Station, then transfer to a taxi to reach Kashiwa Island. Additionally, some diving shops offer transportation services from Sukumo Station.

Kagawa Prefecture

 
Discover the ultimate Instagram-worthy spot at Chichibugahama Beach in Kagawa Prefecture, aptly named the "mirror of the heavens." To reach Chichibugahama Beach from Kansai International Airport, you can take a limousine bus to Takamatsu Station. From there, transfer to a train bound for Mitoyo Station, and then board a bus to arrive at the picturesque Chichibugahama Beach.
