Malaysian Incentive Travel to Japan 2024 |

The Japan National Tourism Organization (JNTO) Kuala Lumpur office has compiled data from the incentive cases received in 2024. This information serves as a valuable reference for event planners looking to develop future incentive travel programs to Japan.
To improve accessibility and usability, we have adjusted our data compilation period from the Japanese fiscal year (April–March) to the calendar year (January–December). This change ensures a more convenient and consistent reference for both our Malaysian and Japanese partners.
Report Highlights:
- In 2024, a total of 82 incentive groups are reported to JNTO Kuala Lumpur office, comprising 4,981 participants, traveled to Japan.
- Notably, Tohoku and Hokuriku Shinetsu have emerged as new incentive travel destinations among Malaysian groups, reflecting a diversification in preferred regions.
- The average tour fare for Malaysian incentive travel to Japan was recorded at USD 2,268 (approximately RM 9,926) per participant.
