The hotel is currently comprised of two buildings: the Classic and the Bay Suite. One of the defining features of their hotel is its cuisine, which highlights carefully selected local ingredients such as Ise lobster, abalone, and Matsusaka beef. Shima Kanko Hotel was also selected as the venue for the 2016 G7 Summit, where their cuisine was served to the leaders of the participating nations.
The sunset over Ago Bay, visible from the hotel, has been selected as one of the “100 Best Sunsets in Japan” and is highly appreciated by their guests.
