JNTO Named Favourite Asia Tourism Board

in Agents’ Choice Awards

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Toronto, June 19, 2026 - The Japan National Tourism Organization (JNTO) is proud to announce that it has been named #1 Favourite Asia Tourism Board in Baxter Media’s 26th annual Agents’ Choice Awards, as revealed at last night’s Agents’ Choice Awards Gala.

“We are deeply honoured to be recognized by Canada’s travel advisor community and would like to sincerely thank all advisors who participated in the survey,” said Yuka Suzuki, Executive Director of the JNTO Toronto Office. “This award reflects the continued passion of travel professionals who champion Japan as a destination.  We look forward to strengthening our ties with the Canadian travel trade and welcoming even more visitors to experience Japan.”

The recognition reflects the votes of Canadian travel advisors who participated in Baxter Media’s annual readership survey, which invited industry professionals to select their “favourites” across 48 categories.  JNTO’s top ranking in the Asia Tourism Board category was supported by strong regional results, achieving 1st place in Western Canada, Ontario and Atlantic Canada.

Japan continues to captivate Canadian travellers with its unique blend of tradition and innovation, stunning natural landscapes, rich cultural heritage, exceptional cuisine, and warm hospitality. JNTO remains dedicated to promoting diverse travel opportunities throughout the country—from iconic cities like Tokyo and Kyoto to regional destinations offering authentic and immersive experiences.
