Visit Kinosaki – Geopark Sea Kayaking Adventure

Join Mother Earth for a kayaking tour of Kinosaki’s Takeno Coast. The region is part of the San’in Kaigan UNESCO Geopark and is home to many of
Japan’s top beaches. As you take off from white sandy shores, you’ll coastbout into the clear waters of the Sea of Japan.

Explore caves, rocks, andbother landforms only visible from sea as you witness the chronology of how the island of Japan developed over 10,000 years ago. The best times to visit are just before and after summer, when the beaches are less crowded
yet the water’s warm.

Shizuoka is blessed with an abundance of nature and is home to the Minami, or Southern Alps National Park. Located in the southernmost region
of the Japanese Alps, Southern Alps National Park is an outdoor enthusiast's dream. Hikers and climbers can opt for a multi-day trek and explore some of Japan's most stunning glacier-formed mountains. Toyooka Tourism Innovation – Genbudo Park

Genbudo Park, home to Genbudo Cave, a national natural monument, will soon re-open to visitors after renovation of the park grounds. The five caves at Genbudo Park, part of the sprawling and scenic San'in Kaigan Geopark, are made of columnar joints that formed over 1.6 million years ago after volcanic magma cooled, contracted, and created vertical
cracks. Located ten minutes from Kinosaki Onsen, Genbudo Park is scheduled to re-open to the public this summer with new English-language exhibits, walking paths, and lookout points. This summer, we look forward to welcoming tourists back to Genbudo Park and to Kinosaki Onsen.
